As I write this, a federal court has determined that our Pledge of Allegiance is unconstitutional and an asshole in Florida has determined that she doesn't need to remove her veil for her license photo. Do these things scare me? Absolutely. They frighten me more than any terrorist could. The real war of this millennium may very well be fought here, in American politics rather than in the deserts of the Middle East.
